A less restrictive lease
Furnished tenancies are more flexible than empty tenancies, because the term of the lease is one year, renewable, and nine months if the tenant is a student, compared with three years for empty tenancies. There is also a special contract for furnished lettings, the mobility lease, reserved in particular for students or people moving for work. It is concluded for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 10 months. Its advantage: it is non-renewable and non-renewable, although the term of the contract can be changed once without exceeding 10 months. This means that the owner can reclaim the property quickly and without having to give the tenant notice to end the contract.
