There's something for everyone at La Plagne!

With its multitude of villages and Paradiski ski area, La Plagne offers a diversity of property choices and atmospheres that will appeal to many buyers. Here are the main sectors you need to know about to get an idea.

Real estate in La Plagne is as varied as its villages. But wherever you are, the resort opens onto the Paradiski ski area (425 kilometres of ski runs, 70% of which are at an altitude of over 2,000 metres). Lively, family-friendly, authentic... it's up to you to choose your favourite sector, according to your desires and your budget.

Plagne Centre, the liveliest area

The resort's main district, with the most activities and amenities, Plagne Centre is mainly made up of flat-roofed buildings and towers of around ten storeys, built between 1960 and 1970. There's a wide choice of flats, from studios to T4s, at prices ranging from €100,000 to €1 million," explains Yannick Rault, property consultant at Foncia's La Plagne branch. It's also the only neighbourhood that's alive and kicking all year round, with a school and post office, as well as a host of shops and activities (cinema, ice rink, etc.)".

Belle Plagne and Plagne Aime 2000, the most practical areas

Belle Plagne is one of the most popular areas, not least because everything can be done on foot. Cars are kept in two large car parks serving each accommodation. Entirely pedestrianised, Belle Plagne has many shops in its centre (boutiques, restaurants, etc.), as well as a spa. "The district is made up of a large number of serviced tourist residences. These are 30 m² flats, studios and T2s, fitted out for four people. Expect to pay €200,000 for this type of property, which is in good condition," explains Yannick Rault.

Plagne Aime 2000 is also appreciated for its practicality and its "Paquebot des neiges", a residence with 2,500 tourist beds in around 900 lots. Designed at the end of the 1960s, this emblematic building of the resort allows you to do everything on foot and even has a shopping arcade, a nursery and a Télémétro, the cable car that links it to the Plagne Centre arcade. The flats are mainly studios (there are also a few T2s and T3s). "Depending on their exposure, floor and condition, you should expect to pay between €90,000 and €150,000," he explains.

Plagne Village and Plagne Soleil, the most family-friendly areas

Plagne Village and Plagne Soleil are two side-by-side villages, separated only by a ski slope. "Very quiet, they have their own ski school. You can ski everywhere too", explains Yannick Rault.

Plagne Village, which was developed in the 1970s and 1980s, offers properties in mountain residences on a self-catering basis. "Mainly small flats of between 20 and 30 m². You can even find a property for less than €100,000," he says.

Plagne Soleil, built between 1990 and 2000, consists mainly of tourist residences, the latest of which are top-of-the-range. There is also a large development of chalets.

Crête Côte Village and Plagne 1800, the most authentic areas

Crête Côte Village and Plagne 1800 are popular for their higher proportion of chalets.

The first village is a purely residential hamlet developed in the 2000s. They are distinguished by their individual chalets or flats. "It's a very quiet area, with panoramic views. On the other hand, it's out of the way, so you have to use the shuttle bus to get to the ski lifts or the shops," explains Yannick Rault.

Thanks to its many chalets, the second village is very popular, particularly with the British. Opportunities are rare here, and prices can soar. As well as chalets, Plagne 1800 also has a market for flats, ranging from studios to T3s, but with floor areas of no more than around forty square metres.
