A mandatory energy audit to sell

According to the Climate & Resilience law of August 2021, carrying out an energy audit will become mandatory to sell housing whose energy class is F or G under the energy performance diagnosis (DPE). This concerns single-ownership properties, i.e. single-family homes and apartment buildings held by a single owner. While the measure was to come into force on September 1, 2022, it will finally apply from April 1, 2023. The energy audit must include proposals for renovation work to improve the housing's energy label, all at once or in stages. "These works are not mandatory to conclude the sale, but the buyer will be informed of their nature", specifies the Service-public.fr site. It will then be the turn of housing classified E to be subject to the energy audit obligation in 2025, then to those classified D in 2034. Translation made with Google translate
