Energy audit comes into force

The energy audit, which was included in the Climate and Resilience Act, became compulsory on 1 April for all sales of single-family homes or buildings in single-family homes considered to be "thermal wastes", i.e. with an energy performance diagnosis (DPE) classified as F or G. The aim is to give future buyers, from the first visit to the property, a complete analysis of the thermal losses of the dwelling, intended to quantify the recommended work to be carried out in order to achieve a minimum of class E. The document must also provide an estimate of the impact of these works on the energy bill. The energy audit does not replace the DPE, which must also be sent to buyers.
